Sadly, we are still witnessing the devastation that the earthquake in Haiti has caused. And although food, medicine and money has been donated from people all around the world for relief, we have yet to ponder the long-term effects of this natural disaster. I had a conversation with neurologist and psychiatrist Dr. Cheryl Cottrol, who talked a little bit about the possible psychological effects that a disaster such as the one in Haiti could have on its victims. When your skin is exposed to dry wind and cold weather, your skin cells actually shrink and dry up! which is why you get that annoying dry and flaky skin in the winter. with spring being near, its time to prepare and get your skin back to sexy! Here are some tips that will help you achieve that..

EXFOLIATE!! In order to get all of the dead skin off from the winter months, you need to exfoliate! Think of it as "Buffing" your skin. This is the first step to getting your skin texture smooth again. The great thing is that you don't have to spend alot of money Facial scrubs. You can use one of your favorite face cleansers at home!

1. wet your face with warm water

2. apply your cleanser in a circular motion all over your face and neck

3. Use a Flat Loofah in a circular motion in the same areas you applied your cleanser

4. rinse your face with warm water

5. Pat dry to prevent irritation.

Easy as 1..2..5! The hard part is over.

This step can be skipped but I highly recommend it! I love Face Serum's because it gives your skin the intense care that it needs. It helps problem areas and penetrates deep into the layers of your skin to help repair and restore. I have used soap and Glory Serum for about a week and I absolutely Love it! My skin feels so soft and I already see a difference in my complexion and tone. I'm Glowing! With one of the ingredients being Shea Butter and a beautiful smell..This is a keeper!

Following your serum, a "must do" is choosing a great moisturizer that works for you! Oooh La La For No7 Moisturizers! Claimed to be one of Europe's best selling beauty and skin care line, No7 in my opinion has to be one of the best moisturizers I have ever experienced. There is a moisturizer for every skin type (normal,dry, oily) and it works so well as a night creme. If you use a serum you must you a moisturizer afterwards so that the ingredients from the serum is locked into the skin. But serum or not, A moisturizer keeps your skin even and soft! If you find yourself to be in the sun often you might want to try a moisturizer with SPF15 for protection. No7 is available at Target! Gotta love that!

YOGURT, STRAWBERRY, HONEY AND LEMON FACIAL. YUMMM. As wonderful as this sounds to eat..It works wonders for your face! Try to do a "at home" facial once a week. your skin will love you!

Yogurt: Helps clear bacteria and holds your ingredients together.

Honey: A great antioxidant that helps protect the skin and kills germs. Also reduces swelling.

Lemon: Contains enzymes that help reduce acne and helps fade dark spots.

Strawberries: High in Vitamin C which help fight free radicals (which damage skin cells). Helps with wrinkles and Fine lines.

Its your FAVORITE!! isn't it? lol. Some Love it and some struggle with it! But at the end of the day Water is the best thing you can do for your skin. It keeps your skin hydrated and also clears out toxins from the body which ultimately leads to Majority of skin problems. So just Drink up! Bottoms up! and Beauty Up!

Is John Mayer Serious???

Ok, I'm a little distraught. I happen to love John Mayer as an artist and love his music. I even thought he had a great sense of humor from appearing on Dave Chappelle and various comedic shows.

However, this is not a laughing matter!

John Mayer made a formal apology for his Playboy interview this week. Please read the interview for yourself here. He used terms like "nigger pass" and "why black people love" him. He even talked about not opening up to dating black women and referred to his private part as being "sort of like a white supremacist." Uh ...ok.

So many things didn't sit too well with me with this interview. Especially as a black woman. So thanks for the apology John...BUT NO THANKS. You're talented...but one less fan here.

Young Jeezy saves the song a tad but Fat Joe brings little to no "firepower" on this one. When you hear the song you'll know the sample. I see the direction Fat Joe was trying to go in with this song but he didnt get there!!!

"Million Dollar Girl" Trina ft Keri Hilson and Diddy

I don't know if Trina is qualified to have a record about being a "Million Dollar Girl" cause she's far from that, but none the less the song holds its own. I can see this song making it based on Trina's following fan base and it being the first solid song from Trina in a long time. Diddy puts his normal 2 cents in about being "The Richest of the Richest" and Keri laces the hook. Hopefully the video will bring me all the way around to a believer!!

I love this song!! A catchy metaphor for being "HIGHLY DRUGGED" the song is typical Erykah Badu. Who better to put on a track talking about being high then Lil Wayne?!? He definitely delievered like only Wayne can do. Wayne raps his verse like he's "high" forgetting and mispronunicating words---VERY CREATIVE. Erykah Badu is back with another hot song as usual!!
